Hansgrohe InnovationParc in Shanghai Ceremonially Opened
Opening of the First Hansgrohe InnovationParc Overseas
On June 8 2023, the Hansgrohe Group opened a new center for innovation in Shanghai. Over 50 invited guests including trade partners and journalists attended the festive ceremony right next to the Huangpu River in one of the most attractive parts of Shanghai.
Hans Jürgen Kalmbach, Chairman of the Executive Board, gave the opening speech. "Over the course of the company's 120-year history, Hansgrohe has become a global leader in innovation, quality, design and sustainability in the bathroom and kitchen industry. In the future, we want to invest even more in innovation and respond to the diverse needs of our customers in the Asian region," said Kalmbach, adding, "Our Hansgrohe InnovationParc in Shanghai will be a meeting place for bright minds and creative thinkers to collaborate, share ideas and push the boundaries of what is possible. Here, we have created an environment where innovation can thrive and new solutions can emerge."
With the InnovationParc, Hansgrohe strengthens the localization of its products and brands in China and the Asia-Pacific region. The opening took place during KBC, the largest trade fair for kitchen and bathroom in the Asian region. The design of InnovationParc was created by the renowned design studio Ippolito Fleitz. Architect Peter Ippolito also attended the opening ceremony.
On three floors and 1.500 square meters, visitors can learn about the company's history, as well as about the company‘s two product brands, AXOR and hansgrohe. Their products are available for testing in the Showerworld. In addition to a special experience for visitors, the InnovationParc creates space for the company's own research and development work, strengthens local innovation management and product development, and creates the prerequisite the Hansgrohe Group’s further growth in China.
