Compatibility of work and family

The Klaus Grohe day-care center

Growing up in an environment suitable for children, while parents can develop their careers. The new Klaus Grohe day-care center in the heart of Schiltach makes this possible. The facility will be located in the listed building of the old Schiltach primary school. On more than 1000 square meters and spread over two floors, learning workshops, water adventure areas as well as group and exercise rooms invite children to play, sing, romp and be creative. The flexible childcare offer is aimed at parents with children from the age of one until they start school.

In December 2023, the facility was officially opened with invited guests. The new daycare center was inaugurated together with the namesake Klaus Grohe and all those involved in the project.

Why the Klaus Grohe day-care center is worthwhile

Optimal combination of work and family

With a large opening time window from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and few closing days per year, parents can optimally combine work and family and flexibly arrange care for their child.

A child-oriented concept

The concept of the day-care center is not based on rigid guidelines, but on the child. Within the framework of learning workshops and intergroup education, play and movement spaces, the children devote themselves to their own interests and preferences.

A day-care center with Hansgrohe DNA

In lovingly designed sanitary rooms, there are water experience areas where the children can shower, splash and experiment with water.

Daily freshly cooked food

The daily fresh food rounds off the offer: the children are provided with healthy and freshly prepared meals, eaten together in the children's restaurant.

Institution and pedagogical concept

The day-care center is run by pme Familienservice GmbH. This operator runs more than 90 day-care centers, back-up centers and family cribs throughout Germany.

The pedagogical care concept of pme is based on the orientation plan of Baden-Württemberg and focuses on promoting language development, multilingual education and interest in science, technology, music, art, nutrition and movement. The children are accompanied and supported in such a way that they develop joy in speaking and in dialogue as well as an interest in picture books. In addition, they should learn to listen actively and to communicate thoughts and feelings in a linguistically differentiated way. With the help of movement education, the children learn to assess themselves, explore their limits, strengthen their cooperation and communication skills and reduce aggression. The children also discover their joy in dealing with shapes, quantities, numbers, space and time and learn to consciously perceive their environment with all five senses through visual and performing arts.
